Disclosure is not the imagined scenarios presented in the movies in which a UAP lands on the capital building lawn and Extraterrestrials exit the craft to claim they are here to save Planet Earth, nor is it the unwarranted invasion of an unknown species from some other world, here to annihilate the inhabitants and deplete the planet of its resources. Those would actually be "Global" or "World" Events that would influence the world populace in a shockingly truthful manner.
Disclosure is really about the act or actions of, and process of making relative and pertinent facts, data, or information known to the public in an attempt to negate cognitive dissonance that exists in individuals. Cognitive dissonance is the mental discomfort or tension that arises when a person holds two or more contradictory beliefs, values, or attitudes simultaneously. It is a state of psychological conflict that can occur when there is a discrepancy between one’s beliefs and actions, or between one’s beliefs and new information or evidence. Therefore, it is the state of "desensitizing" individuals.
